Ryan, himself, struggles with his tumultuous romance with the beautiful girl next door, Marissa Cooper (Mischa Barton). Season two features recurring guest stars Olivia Wilde as Alex; Logan Marshall-Greene as Ryan's brother, Trey; and Billy Campbell as Carter, the new editor of Newport Living.
